Frequently asked questions
Where does the data come from?
Official municipal open-data feeds of issued building permits. We deduplicate, filter to your trade, and deliver the rows the city published.
What is in each CSV?
Permit number, issue date, full site address, project description, declared project value, type of work, and the applicant and contractor fields the city publishes.
Why do some feeds arrive weekly and others monthly?
Cadence follows real volume. A feed only ships weekly when the city consistently issues enough permits in that trade for a weekly CSV to be worth opening. Thinner trades ship once a month with a fuller list.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from the Stripe billing portal linked in every receipt. No contracts, no minimum term.
Can I get a different trade or city?
Yes. The feeds listed here are the highest-volume combinations, but the dataset covers cities across Canada. Request a sample for the trade and city you want and we will build the feed.
How fresh are the leads?
Each delivery covers the newest permits the city has published since your last one. Municipal portals publish on their own schedule, so a delivery reflects the city’s latest published records at send time.
Other feeds
Counts and samples come from the Van Permit Audit national permit dataset, built from official municipal open-data feeds. Sample rows above are partially masked; subscribers receive full addresses and project descriptions.
